An alumnus of the school, Bernard Granville returns to Berry College as an assistant football coach, responsible for the defensive line.
Prior to relocating back to Rome, Granville was an assistant football coach at Cedar Shoals High School in Athens, Ga. While there, Granville was the defensive line coach for the 2021 season, the offensive line coach for the 2020 season, and the head coach of teams below the varsity level in 2019. In 2021, he would also be responsible for analyzing opponent offensive formations and tendencies while also assisting with formation recognition from the press box on game day. In addition to his football duties, Granville worked as an assistant wrestling coach at Cedar Shoals from October 2019 through the end of the 2021-22 academic year.
Prior to Cedar Shoals, Granville was an assistant football coach, assistant wrestling coach, and assistant track & field coach at Campbell High School in Smyrna, Ga. His football duties included serving as the Varsity Defensive Line Coach, Freshman Team Head coach and coordinating with the defensive coordinator on defensive fronts and blitz packages.
Granville was a four-year starter for the Vikings from 2013-16. He was a Second Team All-SAA member in 2015 and part of Berry's first SAA football championship team in 2016 while earning First Team All-SAA honors.
